Yesterday was a sad day for some of us as lovely Mildred was picked up by her wonderful new owners. We were happy to let her go to her new home and loving new parents but it was hard.
In other news it was a fun day for the rest of the Puppies, Moses had visit from his new parents and although nobody likes a wet floor on the patio it didn’t seem to matter too much to our bundles of fun.
Husky Khan came to visit today, giving the little ones their first experience with an adult male dog. Wilma and Greta were perturbed to see the strange man near their little ones but the puppies held their own pretty well.
Particularly Jude was far from shy. His party trick to pinch and provoke and then run away did not go down well with Khan either, but for us it was great fun to watch.
Jude of course is small enough to hide behind plants and pots that Khan can’t reach.
With beautiful sunshine the puppies spent most of their day outside, all finding their favourite spots on the patio. Now that we moved almost all plants there is less to chew and less places to hide behind.
The broom has not lost its popularity but the new barrier has stopped Kiki from escaping. Ok then, she says, and at least takes up position by the fence – just in case.
The kitchen looked like the scene of teenage party gone wrong this morning – the little rascals managed to escape the cage and had a field day with the tea towels and my running shoes.
In contrast to this outrageous behaviour the pictures taken yesterday depict pure innocence as we tried to get good head shots for each puppy.
There was also some messy scrambled eggs buffet.
A second post today due to the vast amount of pictures.
A big play day with lots of people coming to see the pups and making decisions about which of the adorable wrigglers they want.
The pups are also learning to behave in front of the big ‘uns. Very submissive behaviour except for Jude who bites Greta on the bottom and then runs and cowers behind the flower pot!
